Olympic Flame “Ares” boys 2003 tryouts – September 25th and 26th!
With the summer season quickly coming to an end, Olympic Flame “Ares”, our boys 2003 team, is turning its attention to the upcoming U15 indoor season.
After a great outdoor season, Olympic Flame “Ares” will once again be playing this winter in the extremely competitive Hangar indoor league in preparation for the 2018 outdoor season. “Ares” will be fielding two teams this winter, one in each of the 11v11 league and the 6v6 league to best prepare our boys for next summer. Olympic Flame “Ares” is stepping up its game, and we also plan on fielding two teams next summer, both a Tier 1 team and a Tier 2 team. While other 2003 boys programs are disappearing, we are expanding our program, and we have ambitious plans for 2018.
With the rising costs associated with playing soccer at higher and higher levels Ares started fund raising for the first time in 2015.
Parents and coaching staff helped organize a raffle and poker night this year – both events had fantastic results.
Thank you Haidar (our raffle winner), and to everyone who helped the team by selling and buying tickets to our 50/50 Raffle and Poker Night. The team was able to generate the necessary funds that will go towards field/turf rentals.
Thank you again to all the parents, family and friends who attended, helped organize the event, and donated prizes.
Thank you all for helping these kids enjoy the beautiful game!
“Ares” has been having a very successful winter season in the Hangar indoor league. But we are now starting to look forward to the upcoming 2015 summer outdoor season. With this in mind, the team will be opening up its twice weekly practices to anyone interested in trying out for the “Ares” outdoor team. Weekly training sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at G.A. Brown Middle School from 7:30pm to 9:00pm and all current “Ares” players will also be in attendance at these training sessions, so you can quickly see how you measure up.
If you would like to arrange a tryout with “Ares”, please contact either Paul (647-244-7285) or Tom (416-721-5800). Head Coach Sebastian Arangio and/or Technical Director Dino Mastrogiannis will be running these open training sessions. Thi...
