Congrats to the Snowmen for their 1st place finish in the Season 2 Ares Winter Futsal Cup!
Tobey, Juan, Declan, Elijah, and Jules played a grueling 24 game season against their Ares teammates in the winter fustsol soccer season.
The Snowmen finished the season tied in points, wins and ties with Team Lemonaid, and played a nail biting playoff game to win by a sudden death goal.
Ares players from the 2003 born White and Blue teams, play every other week during the winter in a fun futsal soccer season. The players are split into five teams of 5 or 6 players per team and play 24 games per season each. It was fast paced, great fun, and a great break from typical practices.
Congratulations to Tobey, Nico, Santiago, Christos, Elijah, and Corwin from Team Banana for winning Season 1!
Olympic Flame “Ares” boys 2003 tryouts – September 25th and 26th!
With the summer season quickly coming to an end, Olympic Flame “Ares”, our boys 2003 team, is turning its attention to the upcoming U15 indoor season.
After a great outdoor season, Olympic Flame “Ares” will once again be playing this winter in the extremely competitive Hangar indoor league in preparation for the 2018 outdoor season. “Ares” will be fielding two teams this winter, one in each of the 11v11 league and the 6v6 league to best prepare our boys for next summer. Olympic Flame “Ares” is stepping up its game, and we also plan on fielding two teams next summer, both a Tier 1 team and a Tier 2 team. While other 2003 boys programs are disappearing, we are expanding our program, and we have ambitious plans for 2018.
The Ares players, parents and coaching staff would like to take this moment to congratulate and welcome five new players to the Olympic Flame Soccer Club 2003 Ares competitive team. We are proud to have Bennett, Christian, Juan, Nico, and Aaron join our squad.
These players provide speed to an already quick squad, and creative play-making to the team. Bennett, Nico and Christian are strong defenders and are transition players who will also bring more scoring opportunities to this defensive power house line up. Juan speed, and light touch are sure to add a new element to the Ares attack. Aaron looks to share goal keeping duties and bring the team many victories.
Those who are familiar with Ares will know that the team doesn’t take on new players very often, it’s a close family – for...

Ares travelled to Peterborough this Father’s Day weekend to participate in the Peterborough Challenge Cup Tournament. The team put together a great run at the tournament, and put on a fantastic show of teamwork. Each and every player elevated his game to the highest level we have seen. The boys showed off terrific and advanced passing and attacking soccer, and a stifling defence allowing very few chances. Ares was able to dictate the pace of each game from the opening whistle and finished the round robin portion of the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record, defeating Kingston 3-0, Brantford 2-1 and Belleville 2-1.
Ares met Georgetown in the semi-final and comfortably earned a 2-0 victory, to move into the finals, where unbeaten Ares met an unbeaten Markham for the championsh...
Ares made the play-offs and finished very well this season at the Indoor Soccer Hangar League (11v11) against some very, very tough competition.
The boys faced a disciplined team in the quarter-final but came away with a 2-0 win. Ares went on to the semi-final to face the league leading team but lost 1-0 with only three and a half minutes remaining in the game.
Despite greater possession and more shots on goal Ares was unlucky this day but put on a great show of soccer skill.
